How has there never been a D&D monster called a "Time Fly"?

Are you sure about that? Just 'cause it's not in the MM doesn't mean it wasn't in a supplement... like the one with Chronomancers maybe? The reason I ask is because it's SUCH an obvious concept....

I never read the chronomancer stuff because my DM said it was the most unbalancing thing he'd ever heard of, I didn't bother. :P

OOoo, Oooo, do you have any recomendations? We keep *looking* for a room but no one will give us one, they say we're so mushy we're making them sick. :)

The 2nd ed Chronomancer book had rules for giving normal time powers. In 3.0/3.5, it wouold ahve been called the "Temporal creature" template. The list was pretty dumb.

Besides, there's no stats for a regular housefly to begin with. Now Time stirges... Ewww.....

Rule #1 of D&D monster design, when basing a monster on a real-world animal that's too small to have stats, make it big enough to have stats. :P

I love all those funky supplements they put out in the late 80s/early 90s. Spelljammer, Maztica, Chronomancer and, of course, Planescape.
